After cutting the side rails, the ladder's length may be altered within 1.3 inches, allowing for optimal ceiling height and floor restoration adjustments—eleven steps with a 10-inch tread rise for safety and comfort. Both sides of the ladder have red metal railings. Specially designed door attaching brackets provide extra foot space, and unique springs design slides the springs down with the ladder's door to make attic entry wide and pleasant.
