Installation Instructions

1. Set up the Opening: Ensure the wall opening is clean and meets the required dimensions for the FBR-5060 panel (maximum size: 36” x 48”). The frame should be flush with the wall surface, and the surrounding structure must be fire-rated to support the panel’s fire rating.
2. Install the Frame : Position the mounting frame into the prepared wall opening. Use appropriate fasteners to secure the frame, ensuring it is level and flush with the wall. Verify the frame is securely anchored and properly aligned to prevent any gaps that could compromise the panel’s effectiveness.
3. Attach the Door Panel: Align the door panel with the mounted frame, ensuring the concealed hinge is positioned correctly. Gently attach the panel to the frame, making sure the self-closing, self-latching mechanism functions properly and the panel is securely in place.
4. Test the Latch and Locking Mechanism : Once the door is installed, test the self-latching bolt to ensure smooth operation. If necessary, install any optional rim or mortise cylinder locks for added security. Finally, check the inside latch release to confirm it works properly for easy access when needed.
