FBIW- Insulated Fire-Rated Access Door - Drywall Bead Flange – Model Description   

The FBIW is not only aesthetically pleasing but also comes with a fire rating and a 2-inch-thick fire-rated mineral fiber insulation. With its drywall bead flange, you can get the benefits of a functional fire-rated access door without compromising your building aesthetics.   

The FBIW comes with a 20-gauge cold rolled steel door with a 16-gauge steel frame. With its drywall bead flange and concealed pin hinge, you won't find a better aesthetically pleasing fire-rated access door on the market. It is easy to install and provides easy access to building components without hassle. The FBIW access door then finishes with the standard gray powder paint.   

The fire rating of the FBIW differs depending on where you install it. As per UL, it's listed under the B label for vertical installations and has a fire rating of 1-2 hours. If you install the BIW horizontally, you will find that it has a 3-hour fire rating, as listed under Warnock Hersey.
