FBIU- Upward Opening Access Door – Model Description  

The BIU is a fire-rated access door that features an upward-opening door. It is perfect for commercial buildings with ceiling installations that require an upward opening. It comes with an 18-gauge steel door, a 16-gauge steel frame, and a 1-inch exposed steel flange.   

The FBIU has a concealed continuous piano hinge that ensures convenience and an aesthetically pleasing finish after installation. This upward-opening access door comes with a ¼ inch Allen head key latch and a 2-inch fire-rated mineral fiber insulation. It has a certification from Warnock Hersey for a fire rating of 2 hours and finishes with an off-white prime coat.
