FBFRU- Model Description  

If you are looking for an upward-opening access door with a 2-hour fire rating, the FBFRU is an ideal option. The BFRU comes with an 18-gauge steel door and a 16-gauge steel frame and is perfect for ceiling installations.   

The FBFRU features a 1-inch exposed flange with a concealed continuous piano hinge to ensure an aesthetically pleasing finish after installation. The FBFRU latch is a ¼ Allen head key, and the access door comes with a 1 ½ inch fire-rated insulation. This access door finishes with an off-white prime coat.
