The BRHSG Security Roof Hatch-Steel is ideal for facilities that require high security, such as correctional facilities, banks, and prisons. Its industry-standard durable and heavy-duty steel materials, steel cover and curb, and optional locks add an extra layer of security and insulation to such facilities.  

 

Why Install BRHSG?  

Weathertight: Red oxide-colored BRHSG in its powder coat finish prevents water leakage and keep harmful chemicals and elements from infiltrating the building, which may cause extreme damage in the long run. The weather tightness of the equipment roof hatch also helps regulate the building's temperature, minimizing air leakage and temperature fluctuations.   

Optional View Port Depending on your liking, you may add a viewport to BRSHB that will allow natural light to enter the building through the roof hatch.  

Stability: The access door's steel curb provides stability and prevents the roof from moving or collapsing, especially during harsh weather situations such as extreme winds and heavy snow loads.

Cover Formed metal cover with liner, reinforced to hold a live load of 40psf with a max deflection of 1/150 the span. 

Curb Single wall curb with EZ tab counterflashing and mounting flange with 5/8 inch and 3/16 inch holes. 

Insulation It has a 1-inch fiberboard in the curb and 1-inch polystyrene in the cover. 

Gasket Extruded EPDM adhesive-backed gasket seal, continuous around cover. 

Spring/Hinge Assembly Zinc-plated steel tamper-proof hinges within the spring assembly include steel compression springs. 

Hold Open Arm Zinc plated automatic steel hold open arm locks cover in an open position. 

Latch Zinc plated steel latch with the exterior, interior turn handles, and padlock hasps.
